RAWR!
I like to make silly plushies, accessories and other sewn stuff.

I am (almost) always open for commissions, so if you want me to make something for you, just send me a PM and I'll see what I can do for you : D
My terms for commissions can be found here rawringcrafts.deviantart.com/j…

Or you can buy stuff at my Etsy store:
Costumes, Dicebags and Accessories

Unfortunately the only camera I own is the one in my cellphone, so please excuse the sub-standard quality of my pictures.

Assassin's Creed Themed Bracer of Light by RawringCrafts
Assassin's Creed Themed Bracer of Light

It’s my Bracers of Light, customized to be Assassin’s Creed style hidden blade bracers.

The customer supplied me with the blade mechanism props and I constructed the bracers around them. I cut out the Assassin’s Creed symbol and the Black Flag related skull from black pleather and applied it to the bracer with a satin stitch. I had to widen the symbol a little to fit nicely around the bracer’ other components, but luckily that’s not really noticeable while worn.

Bracer of Light - Fire themed by RawringCrafts
Bracer of Light - Fire themed

This project was LOTS of fun. It’s another customized set of my Bracers of Light, this time with a loose fire/phoenix theme.

The customer plays a phoenix themed character, but wanted to leave the option open to use these for other characters, so I tried to make them look fire related while still keeping them generic enough to be used in other costumes.

Made from faux leather, fleece and cotton. Due to the embroidery and decorative stitches, I added a rather stiff interfacing. Usually I use overlock thread for the satin stitching on these bracers, but since this pair is a lot more detailed, I used very shiny embroidery thread. The silken shine it has really helps with the fire theme ^_^

I made so many sci fi and post apocalyptic themed items lately that making something good old high fantasy themed was very refreshing.

Firefly Repaint - DOOM 3 by RawringCrafts
Firefly Repaint - DOOM 3
And another Nerf gun! :D
A Firefly this time.

I think I REALLY improved my skill with this one. All the little details were quite a challenge and I almost screwed it up a few times, but in the end it came out really great.
The color theme was inspired by DOOM3, in particular the small machine gun. The firefly is unusually detailed and industrial looking for a Nerf gun. Together with it’s bullpup design, it is perfect for this style.

It's for sale here:

Custom Strongarm Paintjob by RawringCrafts
Custom Strongarm Paintjob

So I modded my favorite Nerf gun :3c

The internal parts are mainly the same, save for the added holes for the rivets. There is not really any way to improve the Strongarm without replacing parts.
Painted the shell with Rust-Oleum paints. The tip is left unpainted to keep it LARP safe. The rivets are stainless steel and the handle is wrapped in a ~4oz piece of leather.

Its available for sale here

Steampunk Bracer of Light by RawringCrafts
Steampunk Bracer of Light

A steampunk version of my Bracers of Light that I have been commissioned for ^_^

According to the customer, this is the power source for his time traveling character’s temporal gear.
Embossed faux leather and lots and lots of random metal parts I had lying around. The crystal is the same selenite I use in my standard bracers of light. The “Nixie tubes” are made from yellow LEDs and some copper wire, that I encased in clear resin. Except for the potentiometer, which is a print out graphic, all the metal parts are solid brass and copper and aluminum eyelets.

Normally, steampunk isn’t really my kind of thing, but making this bracer was lots of fun. Even though it’s a purely science-fantasy style design, I tried to make every part look like it actually has some sort of function.

Various places. The leather in a local fabrics store, the hardware from an online retailer and the vials from lab equipment suppliers
