The Alchemist's Bandolier MK2 by RawringCrafts The Alchemist's Bandolier MK2 by RawringCrafts
This is a new version of my Alchemist's Bandolier [link]

I originally didn't intend to make another one, but I got several requests to do so, so here it is.

I made several changes to it's design for two reasons:
1) to keep the first one an unique item
2) to be able to reproduce it. The first one was made with parts I just had lying around and that I couldn't re-stock. This one is entirely made from store bought supplies.

Here's the description of the item itself:

As an adventuring alchemist's central piece of equipment, this bandolier provides everything a travelling potion brewer needs.
Easily accessible vials to hold your potions (or liquors, for the mellow brewers) and a sturdy flask safely contains your healing elixir. Your ingredients and spell components are securely stashed away in a spacious pouch on your hip. Two loops on the back hold your backup weapon in place and finally a pauldron provides a minimum in protection.

Truly, every alchemist on an adventure would love to possess this bandolier.

Roleplaying aside: This bandolier is made out of artificial leather, with a soft, black fleece padding on the inside. The vials are made out of polypropylen and thus completely shatter proof. The flask is thick, sturdy glass. Both the vials and the flask are 100% fit to hold consumable liquids, or food. The vials hold about 12ml each and the flask holds 200ml. The flask can be removed from the bandolier by opening a pressure button.
The hip pouch is roughly 15cm*15cm*4cm big and lined with fleece. A magneting snap-button securely closes it.
The d-rings are made from stainless steel and the eyelets from aluminum.
It comes with one set (4pcs) of vials and one glass flask. If you want more than that, just convo me.

Do you want to become a travelling Alchemist, too?

I'm in love with this alchemist bandolier and it's the first thing on my to-buy list as soon as I've got some LARP money left  I saw this piece on a LARP costume and thought it was gorgeous. You truly are skilled :D

If I order this, will it be "exactly" the same?

Thank you very much!

it will most likely not an exact copy no... Since every one of them is made to order and I dont have any big supplier besides the local fabric stores, it often happens that I have to use slightly different materials. I always try to get it as close to the original as possible though. (unless requested otherwise, of course)

Sounds reasonable and understandable =) But the main concept would be nearly the same I guess, like the design.
I'll keep this on my to-buy list for sure, for when I start to play my new alchemist character! Can't wait to wear this gear in LARP

I've got one more little question; Do you know if this gear is capable of withstanding battle? I'll be fighting with a staff, so I have to move around a lot.

Hm. From what I've heard from my customers, they hold up pretty well.
The only thing I can see breaking easily is the strap holding the bottle, because it's a quite heavy weight on a single strip of leather...

That sounds great :D I don't suppose the bottle will be a problem, for I could always store it away somewhere safe in case I get into battle. Thanks for answering all my questions, dear =)

Oh, BTW: that is the very first bandolier I ever made, right?
If yes, it would explain why it was sold FOUR MINUTES after I uploaded it.

I can not begin to tell you how crazy i am for this i work at a Renascence fair and this would make all my co-workers transform into jelly fish ha ha that aside the craftsmanship is amazing and the piece is beautiful i am curious as to what you personally keep in the weapon rings on the back?

Thank you very much ^_^

I personally dont really have any opportunity to ever wear one of these, so I dont keep anything in them
They are intended to keep a small boffer weapon in them. A short sword, or two daggers, or something like that.

Ah well they its amazing ha ha would you consider a trade for one? or if this is too high end of an item perhaps one of the link hats or a bracer of light i have a number of mid-evil weapons as well as a hand made bow (not by me it was made professionally ha ha) a few wooden staffs and some incence brazers that are hand worked (not me again) and i understand if this stuff does not interest you let me know thanks i appreciate you

Hm... To be honest it is indeed a little scary to make a 50€ item for a trade.
Usually the only thing I'd trade for that would be crafting supplies, since then I wouldn't have a monetary loss.

The medieval weapons and the bow (although really cool) are not much worth to me, since I dont really have any use for them.
They might make good presents, but I'd have to see what exactly you can offer to judge that.

The wooden staffs I AM interested in. I can use staffs to make props. Could you show me pictures of them? They might be very expensive to ship, though, so you should consider that.

Also for a link hat, I'd be much more open. A 17€ trade isn't nearly as scary.

Ooo, how I want it... Oooo, but how I can't afford it... damnz. Well, it's lovely! I adore the detail with the vials and the pouch. And the bandolier itself is just beautifully done. Amazing work. :3

Generally, for trades, I accept whatever I can not make myself, or just buy easily.
I am usually not interested in artwork.

So if you can offer anything that might fit that description, go ahead and suggest it ^_^
